Human Rights in Education project Objectives
. ·
To introduce the human rights perspective in schools in Cyprus and
promote cooperation among educators from the Greek and Turkish-Cypriot
community; ·
To create the conditions for the sustainable implementation and
development of human rights education in Cyprus; ·
To establish a network of teachers from all educational levels
from both sides of the island who are interested in human rights education. This
network will be linked up with European organizations and experts, already
working on this field; ·
To render a group of schoolteachers capable of designing and
implementing lesson plans, activities and projects, on human rights and to
upgrade the competencies of the teachers in this field; ·
To raise awareness on human rights among the wider public; |
