TO A PRESS CONFERENCE

 

LAUNCHING OF THE UNHCR REALITY ELECTRONIC GAME, TAXIDI FYGIS

On the occasion of this year’s World Refugee Day, the UNHCR Representation in Cyprus has the pleasure of inviting you to the launching of the Greek version of the innovative UNHCR survival e-game, taxidi fygis.
 
 


A game about how it feels, on a day to day basis, to be a victim of persecution, facing the certainty that there is no other option than to run away from your home and attempt to rebuild your life in a new country, were setbacks will not be in scarcity.

 

The launching will take place on Wednesday, 20 June 2007, at Castelliotissa (near Paphos Gate) at 10:00 a.m.

 

The Permanent Secretary Mrs. Olympia Stylianou from The Ministry of Education and Culture and the Director of Media, Public and International Relations of the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus, the sponsors for the adaptation of the game in Greek, will address the press conference.
